Musaic Player is a local-first, offline music player for Android. It is designed to operate without user accounts, cloud storage, or advertising SDKs. It includes optional Google Analytics for anonymous technical metrics and Firebase for trial management, both of which can be managed in settings. Your music library, playback history, preferences, playlists, smart playlists, EQ settings, and most app configuration are stored exclusively on your device and are never uploaded to any server by the app.

3. Online Lyrics (Optional)
When enabled, Musaic Player sends the current song's title, artist, and duration to third-party lyrics services over HTTPS.
- This feature is off by default.
- No personally identifiable information (PII) is transmitted.
- We do not control third-party lyrics providers' own privacy practices.
4. AI Features (Optional)
When you enable premium AI features such as AI romanization or AI EQ Assistant, Musaic sends only the minimum text needed to your selected provider.
- Bring Your Own Provider: Musaic can connect to providers such as Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, Groq, or Ollama when you configure them.
- API Keys: Your API keys are stored locally in encrypted form on your device. They are not uploaded to Solder3t.
- Request Scope: Requests may include lyric text for romanization or prompt text for EQ assistance, depending on the feature you invoke.
- Provider Policies: Third-party AI providers process requests under their own privacy policies and terms.
5. Listen Together (P2P Sync)
The Listen Together feature allows you to sync playback with other users on your local network.
- Local Server: To enable streaming, the app hosts a temporary, low-power HTTP/1.1 AudioStreamServer on your device.
- Data Scope: This server is only accessible to devices on your local network. Audio data is never transmitted to Solder3t or any external cloud servers.
- IP Addresses: To discover peers, the app may use local network discovery (UDP). IP addresses are used only for routing within the local network and are not collected.
6. Musaic Pro & Billing
Musaic Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks premium features such as widgets, Auto EQ, AI EQ Assistant, advanced lyric modes, AI provider integration, smart playlists, Listen Together hosting, custom palettes, and artwork-driven themes. All billing is handled by Google Play Billing.
- We do not collect or store your credit card details or payment method information.
- We may locally cache your purchase state on-device so premium access continues to work reliably.
- Payment processing is subject to Google Play's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
7. Security
All network traffic initiated by the app (e.g., lyrics requests, billing checks, or AI feature calls) uses HTTPS where applicable. AI API keys are encrypted using Android Keystore and never leave your device except to reach the specific provider endpoint you configured. Solder3t does not initiate any cloud sync of app data.
9. Usage Statistics & Trial Management
To help us maintain app stability and protect our business model, Musaic uses a small amount of anonymous cloud synchronization.
- Google Analytics: If enabled, the app sends anonymous technical data (e.g., device model, app version, and feature tier) to Google Analytics. It does not track your music files, song names, or playback activity.
- Trial Protection: To manage the 11-day Musaic Pro trial fairly, the app syncs a non-identifiable device ID and your first-open timestamp to Firebase. This prevents trial resets via app uninstalls.
- Full Control: You can disable Google Analytics entirely in the app's "Privacy & Data" settings at any time.
10. Website Advertising & Cookies
This website (musaicplayer.vercel.app) uses Google AdSense to serve advertisements.
- Cookies: Google uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites.
- Personalized Advertising: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Opting Out: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- App Status: The Musaic Player Android app remains ad-free and does not use AdSense or any other advertising SDKs.
